The tool we have available to us for keeping this limited government limited is the rules of engagement we all agreed would ensure just that. The weapon that the transients fear the most is its resurrection. That's right, the people occupying our governments at any given time are transients, our Constitution is permanent. The people that want to return us to socialism have gone to great lengths to remove the document that created the branches of government from our consciousness. Why? The why is because they fear the Constitution, and more than that, a populace that understands the power it represents. You can't compartmentalize our Constitution. You can't take some things and ignore the rest. You can't say, accept then three branches of government, and then ignore the directives that define those branches. Here we have a written legal document that is aimed at limiting the power of a government. No government want any limits on its power. We have been sitting back and letting the most dangerous entity on the planet, a government, define our documents out of existence. The Federal Government was never meant to have any responsibility for the citizens. It was forbidden to tax us, and the only laws it was ever granted the authority to enforce were those listed specifically in ArticleI1, section 8. “The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the Seat of the Government of the United States are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State Governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation and foreign commerce…” - James Madison Pay particular attention to the wording here--the powers are few and defined. Do you know this? Do you understand the power of your Constitution? Do you know that you can use it like a sledge hammer against the transients occupying our government no matter what authority they ascribe to themselves to rationalize their actions? Here is the nail in the politico's coffin (I refer to the man behind the curtain). The Constitution exist. It is sitting there like a thousand pound Gorilla waiting for us to put it to use for our protection. The socialist fear this document and its understanding to the point of removing it from our education process. It doesn't matter what you find wrong, it can be rectified by using our legal document. It can only have force if you know the concepts it represents. Here is a big concept: “The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people; it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government-lest it come to dominate our lives and interest.” – Patrick Henry Most of the responses I received concerned taking the money away from this run away government. The answer is in our Constitution. Our Constitution forbids Congress from taxing the individual citizen. If it has passed a Bill (law) taxing us, we cam call for the impeachment of every representative that has ever let this take place. Congress has been careful to never having passed such a law. What do we do? We demand that Congress show us this law. In other words, we all begin using the only tool at our disposal, our Constitution,the document the socialist fear the most, to put the Genie back in the bottle.
