Brian Carter

Brian Carter was born in Woodbridge, Virginia. Upon graduation from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in History, Carter received his commission in the United States Marine Corps and became a Communications Officer.

Carter's initial active duty assignments concerned contingency planning for Year 2000 related issues and computer network defense initiatives for Marine Corps networks. As a Reservist, Carter has returned to active duty many times and maintains his commission in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.

As a civilian, Carter has worked for Priority Telecom, Northrop Grumman in support of the Federal Aviation Administration and the Marine Corps, and Bob Dougherty Construction. Currently, Carter is a consultant to Marine Forces Reserve in New Orleans, LA. Carter enjoys the sport of lacrosse as well as hunting and fishing.

Carter's decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
