After learning the importance of working on behalf of others, he started volunteering for different social and political organizations. Volunteering guided his personal interests which grew into a desire to become more involved in the whole political process, from the "grass-roots" to the halls of the legislative buildings in Albany, NY. Politically, Rodger's beliefs were with the Republican Party. He became a committee person and over the years, his involvement and responsibilities increased. Rodger sought to fill a vacant seat on the Town Council in Malta, New York. He went from a Republican Committee person giving endorsements to a person seeking the endorsement of the Republican Committee. Showing himself to be dependable, faithful and knowledgeable, the Republican Committee for the town in which he lived unanimously voted him to be their candidate of choice. During those same years he deepened his political knowledge and experience by spending time with senior lobbyists in the halls of the New York legislature buildings. He also began to see the Republican Party creep slowly away from the values and beliefs that first allured him. In 2006, Rodger moved his family to Southern California and started a new life and business. It was here in California, that he set his own political lines. Those lines, coupled with his personal commitment to God, Family and Country parallel those of the Conservative Party. Conservative Party USA |
Born in New York and raised in
the "backyard" of the Saratoga Battlefield, Rodger
learned early in life the values of faith, family and community.
