Amanda McLain-Young
Amanda McLain-Young was born in Mississippi in September of 1980. She lived the next ten years in Texas before moving back to Mississippi, where she graduated from South Jones High School in 1999. After two years attending the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS, she transfered to the University of New Orleans and graduated with a BA in English in 2003.
Amanda moved to Covington, LA from Metairie, two days before Hurricane Katrina hit land in 2005. A year later, she published her first book, "Wolf of the Past," and married her boyfriend of seven years. In 2008, they welcomed their first child. Shortly after, Amanda began paying closer attention to politics, and in 2009 she became an organizer for Northshore Tea Party, designing the group's email newsletter and website. She was named Corresponding Secretary for the group in October 2009.Conservative Party USA
