V. Glen Megill
V. Glen Megill was born in the heartland of America, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania into a family with a rich heritage of service and sacrifice.
His great-grandfather grew up in a covered wagon in the Indian Territory of present-day Oklahoma where the family served as missionaries to the Osage people. Glen's grandfather served as a pastor and college professor and his father leads a Christian mission organization in Africa. This heritage helped shape Glen's early sense of purpose and responsibility.Turmoil in the Middle East caused Glen to enlist in the US Army in 1991 as an Infantry Soldier just two days prior to the start of "Operation Desert Storm". Glen later joined the Army Recruiting Command where he led Commands in Nevada, Florida and Southern California. His passion for purpose and responsibility inspired many young people to embrace a life of challenge and significance. Glen encouraged them to not just settle for a life of success when they could live lives of significance.
Throughout his military career Glen witnessed first-hand the enormous impact of political decisions. He began to see how politics shaped America's future and joined the Young Republicans in 1999. Although limited by the Military Regulations, Glen voiced many opinions until his retirement in September 2012.
Upon retiring Glen returned to Nevada and now resides in Reno where his wife works as a Senior Natural Resources Biologist. Their two daughters attend public school and the family has a strong Christian faith.
America's deviation from core principles is of great concern to Glen and he challenged the Republican Party to return to its conservative roots to no avail. It's now abundantly clear that America needs a wake-up call. America needs to realize what has been lost and where we are headed. America needs a new and committed conservative movement represented by CP-USA.
